the Nature van - best way to experience Finland

The Nature Van is a big Ford Transit Jumbo model van. It is built with natural materials and serves as a unique summer cabin on wheels. The car is designed to be as natural as possible, from the sheepwool insulation to the wooden paneling, as well as using natural paints and toilet chemicals.
With this van you will sleep on a sheepwool-linen futon. The kitchen is nice, has running water and the tableware include some nice wood and metal dishes. You can easily charge your phone and usb devices with the solarpanels, which also keeps the fridge running and the food fresh. You can wash the dishes with biodegradable washing liquid and the waterheater makes it easy.

Built and inspected into a campervan on 2022. The indoor spaces are new (even a bit of finishing touches still to be done here and there)
Off-Grid ready: The battery charges both with solarpanel and while driving. The lights, fridge, charging phones and the diesel heater runs smoothly without shorepower. In winter it’s needed to keep an eye on the power levels.

For occasional use there’s a modest dismountable travel bed, 58 x 182 cm, max. 100 kg
If needed it’s also possible to have a basic collabsible baby’s travel bed for a toddler. (You can assemble ether the quest bed or the additional baby’s bed one at the time, both doesn’t fit.)
Pillows and warm blankets for two are included. You can rent the bed linen for extra cost or bring your own.

An easy to use dieselheater, takes the fuel directly from the tank.

Possibility to plug in to the mainpower, when the 230v sockets indoors will work. If you need an inverter for off-grid use (from 12v to 230v) that’s also possible.
4 windows + a roof hatch which all can be opened.

Resevation and practical things
pick up and returning the car
The car can be picked up ether at a parking lot next to the Savio (or Kerava) train station, or about a kilometer further from there, where you can leave your own car parked if needed.
We will give you about an hour tour of how everything works in the van and sign the rental agreement while you pick up the van. Be prepared to show your ID / driving licence.
The age of the renter should be over 23.
Well-behaved and reasonable sized pets are also welcome.
The car should be returned as basic clean (from the indoors, outdoor dirt doesn’t matter). Dishes washed, toilet emptied and rinsed. Basicly at the same shape as when you picked it up.
By renting the van you commit to follow the user instructions to keep the van in good condition. (so far the instructions only in finnish, will be updated soon: käyttöohjeet)
The rent should be paid while picking up the car. You can pay by cash, mobilepay or bank transfer. Rent includes the insurance for the car.
